Mobile Notifications

We upgraded our notifications from text messages to mobile app notifications in April of 2017. (also called push notifications)

A mobile notification is a message that pops up on your mobile device when you have the AngelSense App installed. These mobile notifications have replaced the text notifications that were normally sent regarding your AngelSense device.

Users do not have to be in the app or using their mobile device to receive them, but they do have to have signed into their app recently. After some time of not using the app, mobile notifications will stop (iOS/Android policy). As a fallback, we will send text messages at this point, but we will require the user to open their app to continue receiving notifications after one month.

 

 

Some great benefits of mobile notifications: 

  1. Clicking on the mobile notification opens up your AngelSense app 
  2. Eliminates any issues with your personal mobile plan and how many text messages you can receive 
  3. Arrives faster than a normal text message

Note: Your phone must be connected to the internet in order to receive AngelSense App notifications. The amount of data consumed by mobile notifications is minor relative to typical apps running on smartphones, including AngelSense.

Please make sure that you have the most recent AngelSense app version by doing an Update from your app store.
