Mobile Notifications

AngelSense gives you the option to receive notifications via Email or Push Notifications. A mobile push notification is a message that pops up on your mobile device when you have the AngelSense App installed. The push notifications have replaced the SMS text notifications that were normally sent regarding your AngelSense device.

You don’t have to have the app open in order to get the push notifications and they usually show on your lock screen so you won’t miss an urgent notification.

AngelSense uses a unique notification sound so that you can easily identify alerts from the AngelSense app. Click to hear:

Note: in the future we will be adding more sound options so you can assign them to specific types of app notifications.

Some great benefits of mobile notifications:

  1. Clicking on the mobile notification opens up your AngelSense app

  2. Eliminates any issues with your personal mobile plan and how many text messages you can receive

  3. Arrives faster than a normal text message

Note: Your phone must be connected to the internet in order to receive AngelSense App notifications via the AngelSense app. The amount of data consumed by mobile notifications is minor relative to typical apps running on smartphones, including AngelSense.

Please make sure that you have the most recent AngelSense app version by doing an Update from your app store.

Notes

Users do not have to be in the app or using their mobile device to receive them, but they do have to have signed into their app recently. After some time of not using the app, mobile notifications will stop (per iOS/Android policy). As a fallback, we will send SMS text messages at this point, but we will require the user to open their app to continue receiving notifications after one month.

*Location via Text will still be sent via SMS, not Mobile Push Notifications
